Bohemian Style Floral Design Course at the Boerma Instituut

At the Boerma Instituut, we have been offering the fun and informative 2-day Bohemian Style Floral Design course for several years now!

Bohemian floral design is characterized by a rustic appearance and a relaxed, natural placement of flowers with an open silhouette. It often incorporates softly cascading foliage such as eucalyptus and asparagus, combined with beautiful open summer or autumn flowers. Dried materials are sometimes used as well. Altogether, this creates a romantic and dreamy look.

Course Program

Day 1

• Theory on Bohemian style floral design
• Bohemian style hand-tied bouquet
• Bohemian style arrangement using chicken wire

Day 2

• Table arrangement with an open silhouette
• Floral crown

Recommended: We advise having a good command of the sheaf (spiral) technique before joining this course. If you have never made a bouquet before, please follow the Hand-tied Bouquets Level 1 course first.

• Thursday 28 May & Friday 29 May
• Tuesday, July 7 & Wednesday, July 8

Costs and Requirements

The course fee is €249.50. Unfortunately, payment in installments is not possible.

All required materials are included in the price, such as:

• Flowers, foliage, and auxiliary materials
• Bases
• Decorative materials such as ribbon, beads, pins, feathers
• Floral tape and various types of wire
• English-language certificate of participation from the Boerma Instituut

Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and lunch are included, but tools are not. It’s useful to bring your own knife and scissors. If needed, these can be purchased in our shop or webshop.
