At the Boerma Instituut, the 2-day Hand-Tied Bouquets courses are accessible to anyone interested in creating beautiful hand-tied bouquets. They also provide an excellent opportunity for professionals to refresh and refine their skills.
In the daily operations of a flower shop, creating a variety of hand-tied bouquets forms a significant part of the work. Therefore, having a solid technical foundation and thorough basic knowledge is essential to work professionally and efficiently.
No prior knowledge or experience is required to join this course.
In addition to this beginner course, we also offer Level 2 and Level 3, for those eager to learn more advanced techniques.
What will you learn in the Handtied Bouquets Course, Level 1?
You will learn the professional techniques for creating floral designs by hand. This includes various methods and styles.
We use natural, seasonal materials as much as possible during our courses. At the end of the course, you will receive an English-language certificate of participation.
Hand-Tied Bouquets Level 1 Program
- Day 1: Mixed hand-tied bouquet, grouped hand-tied bouquet, and bouquet wrapping.
- Day 2: Ajour bouquet (layered and open style) and a hand-tied bridal bouquet.

Group Size and Availability
Each group has a maximum of 20 participants to ensure that everyone receives sufficient personal attention.
Once a group is fully booked, tickets for that specific date will no longer be available.

Costs & Schedule
Price: €245,- including all necessary materials, lunch, coffee, tea, juice, and the Boerma Institute certificate (in English).
Tools: Not included in the course fee. It is recommended to bring your own knife, pruning shears, and wire cutters.
If you don’t have tools, don’t worry! You can order convenient toolsets from our online shop. Select “pick-up,” choose the date of your first class, and your set will be ready for you on the first day.
Schedule: Each 2-day Hand-Tied Bouquets Course runs from 10:00 AM to approximately 3:45 PM.
