Floristry Program September 9th

On Monday September 9th we are starting with our new floral design program, the International Dutch Floral Design Program.
This is a floral design course specifically aimed at people who want to enter the floral design profession.

Have you, for example, worked in an office your whole life, but secretly always dreamed of becoming a florist?
Or maybe you have just finished your university degree in sociology and want to see if floral design might be something for you?
Then this is the perfect vocational training for you!

What will you learn during the floral design course?

The Dutch Floral Design vocational training is a broad and complete floral design course.
You will learn various types of Bridal Floral Arrangements, Funeral Floral Arrangements, Table Arrangements, and of course, various styles of hand-tied bouquets.

With Bridal Arrangements, you can think of the classic Biedermeier bridal bouquet, as well as a cascade bridal bouquet and a pomander. Both hand-tied and on an Oasis® holder.

Funeral Floral Arrangements such as Linear, Cascade, Diamond shape, or a hand-tied funeral bouquet.

Table Arrangements like the Dutch Garden Style, Parallel arrangements, vegetative arrangements, but also trend-sensitive works like the Boho Style.

Hand-tied bouquets, such as classic mixed and grouped bouquets, as well as layered ajour bouquets, linear bouquets, hand-picked bouquets, and even the Boho style can be applied to bouquets.

Although the training is strongly focused on practical work, we also cover a lot of theory. This includes nomenclature (flower names), as well as design theory, color theory, and the golden ratio. This is just a glimpse of the work done during the vocational training. It consists of 20 intensive days, from 10:00 to 15:45, with multiple topics covered each day.

Still not sure? Come visit our Open House!

Would you prefer to get a feel for the atmosphere at our school first? On Friday, September 6th, we will have an Open House.
Some people also choose to attend an introductory workshop for one afternoon or a 2-day hand-tied bouquets course, level 1, to see if our teaching style suits them.
