General Terms and Conditions Boerma Instituut

The Boerma Instituut applies clear conditions regarding registrations and payments for various training programs.

1. Registrations and Participation

1.1. Registrations apply exclusively to a complete course, not to a part of it.
1.2. By registering, the participant commits to paying the full course fee, including administrative and collection costs when using a payment plan.
1.3. Courses are personal and non-transferable. 1.4. Non-paying acquaintances of participants are not allowed in the classrooms during lessons.
1.5. Missed lessons cannot be compensated or refunded.
1.6. If a participant is unable to attend, lessons cannot be rescheduled for logistical reasons.
1.7. Surcharges for lessons:

Weekend lessons: 50% surcharge.
Lessons on Dutch public holidays: 100% surcharge.

2. Course, Training, and Workshop Commencement

2.1. All courses only start with a sufficient number of participants, as determined by the Boerma Instituut.

3. Cancellation by the Boerma Instituut

3.1. In case of cancellation by the Boerma Instituut, participants will be informed in time, and any payments already made will be fully refunded.

4. Cancellation by the Participant

4.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing or by email; the postmark date serves as the cancellation date.
4.2. The statutory cooling-off period is 14 days from the registration date.
4.3. If the course starts within 14 days of registration, the cooling-off period expires.
4.4. If canceled up to 2 months before the start, 10% of the course fee is due. For group lessons, an additional administration fee of €10 per participant will be charged.
4.5. If canceled between 2 months and 1 month before the start, 20% of the course fee is due.
4.6. If canceled between 1 month and 14 days before the start, 30% of the course fee is due.
4.7. If canceled less than 14 days before the start, 50% of the course fee is due.
4.8. In case of premature termination, at least 50% is due. For programs spanning a school year, a prorated amount will be calculated based on the attended months/days, including the current month.
4.9. A cancellation is only final after confirmation by email, including the corresponding credit invoice. If you do not receive this confirmation within 10 days, please contact us.

5. Exam Regulations & Attendance

5.1. Students may miss a maximum of 10% of the lessons to be eligible to take the exam.
5.2. If more than 10% of the lessons are missed, it will not be possible to take the exam.
5.3. Missed class days cannot generally be rescheduled. However, the Boerma Instituut will make every effort to find a suitable solution where possible.

6. Payments and Bank Charges

6.1. All payments to the Boerma Instituut must be made in full, on time, and in euros (€), in accordance with the payment term stated on the invoice.
6.2. Any (international) bank charges, transaction fees, or currency conversion costs incurred when transferring the course fee are entirely the responsibility of the participant. This also applies to fees that are deducted from the transferred amount.
6.3. The Boerma Instituut expects to receive the full invoice amount in its bank account. If any deductions are made due to bank charges or other fees, the participant is required to pay the remaining balance.
6.4. If the payment deadline is exceeded, the Boerma Instituut reserves the right to charge administrative and collection fees, or to deny participation in the course until full payment has been received.

7. Payment Plan

Students of the Dutch Professional Training (DFD) and the Dutch Advanced Professional Training (ADFD) can use a payment plan, with a one-time administration and collection fee of €50.

Payment Schedule:

First installment: €625 (debited within 7 working days).
Second to ninth installment: €300 (debited monthly).
