The first module begins in <strong>Aalsmeer<\/strong> on <strong>November 9<\/strong>, and we are therefore still looking for a few experienced florists who want to take their skills to the highest level of floral design. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The program is aimed at florists who already have a strong technical foundation but feel they want to take the next step. Participants are expected to already have a solid technical level. A completed DFD and ADFD qualification, or an equivalent level of experience and education, is therefore required for admission.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Before the program starts, we review the portfolio and resume of each candidate. This is not simply about turning people away, but mainly about making sure that their level and experience are a good match for the intensity of the program. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">During the program, we go far beyond simply creating beautiful floral arrangements. We work on composition, form and line, flower placement, rhythm, creative concept development, innovative construction techniques, and the development of your personal style. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">You will learn to look critically at your own work and receive plenty of personal feedback throughout the program.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>From Technique to Your Own Design Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">One of the things we find particularly interesting about this program is that technique is ultimately only one part of the story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A technically well-executed floral arrangement is not automatically a strong design. You also need to ask: Why is that flower placed there? <strong>Why was this particular shape chosen? How does the eye move through the arrangement? And what are you trying to communicate with the design?<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">That is why we place a strong emphasis on the principles behind floral design. For example, we work with Gregor Lersch&#8217;s design scheme, which can be used both to analyze existing designs and to develop new designs step by step. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This means you do not simply learn how to carry out an assignment. The lessons are taught by internationally awarded florists, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mikeboermafloraldesign\/\">Mike Boerma<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/barthassamfloraldesign\/\">Bart Hassam<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/markpampling\/\">Mark Pampling<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fredericdupreflorist\/\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Dupr\u00e9<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Each instructor brings their own background, experience, and approach to design. We consider these differences extremely valuable. Instead of being presented with one fixed way of looking at floral design, you are introduced to a range of different approaches.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ultimately, the goal is not for you to start working exactly like one of your instructors. Participants travel to Aalsmeer from different countries to take part. In previous editions, students have joined us from countries including the United States, Australia, Belgium, China, France, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Singapore, and Taiwan.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This creates a unique mix of backgrounds and experiences. You learn not only from the instructors, but also from the people taking the program alongside you. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Many former students also stay in touch after completing the program. This is followed by online sessions in January and February, after which Module 2 takes place from April 12 through April 24, 2027.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">We deliberately keep the number of participants limited. This allows us to give everyone personal guidance throughout the program and provide extensive individual feedback. <\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As the program starts next month, we are currently still looking for a few participants who are ready to take this next step.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Have you been working as a florist for several years?
