For many florists Funeral Work is an important and special product. A lot of funeral directors offer it as a service. The techniques that are used for this type of work can also be applied to a wide variety of other arrangements. For instance: (bigger) table arrangements, simple car decorations and wall/room decorations.

This practically oriented short course is very well suited for florists and/or their staff to freshen up their skills. This course is entry-level, meaning that you do not need any previous experience to join.

What do you learn during the Funeral Work course, Level 2?

This short course will teach you good techniques that you can use in your designs and gives lots of information on a variety of funeral arrangements:

2-day Funeral Work course, Level 2 (course code FW211)
Day 1 Urn decoration and a cross shapes funeral arrangement in an Oasis® Florette;
Day 2 Linear funeral arrangement and a heart shaped arrangement in Oasis® base.

2-day Funeral Work course, Level 2 (course code FW212)
Day 1 Funeral pillow with plants and a grave arrangement; this day is a plant arrangement and sempervivum day;
Day 2 Modern funeral bouquet and a funeral wreath with ribbon.

This course takes 2 days, each of which consists of 2 blocks of 2 ½ hours.
Hours are from 10.00 AM to 15.45 PM and includes a coffee and lunch break.
At the end of this 2-days Funeral Work course, you receive a Boerma Instituut certificate of participation.

The fee of the 2 days Funeral Work course in 2022 and in 2023, Level 2 is only € 249,50.

• The Boerma Instituut “Funeral Work in Dutch Floral Design” certificate (in English)

• Tools. Please bring your own. If you cannot bring them or you don’t have them, you can buy them in our webshop together with your registration for the course;
• Meals not specified;
• Travel costs.
