Subjects of the Course
Day 1: Form Linear
What is form linear? Form Linear is a floristry that focusses on forms and lines. It is showing and appreciating flowers in their purest form. A style driven by minimalism and ‘negative space’.
Form Linear is one of the hardest styles to master. However, once you do, you can apply these skills to any design style and elevate it.
If you really understand where each material fits into your design, creating will become easier.
During this day, we will study Form Linear in different line order categories, which is something not often touched upon.
Day 2: Cross hatching structures and radial flower placements
On this day, we will be exploring simple structures (based in floral foam) that utilise patterns of overlapping lines, then organising the floral materials within in a radial line system.
Potentially also reviewing various further blending of these overlapping patterns and radial line systems.
What else will come up during the Course
Golden Ratio
The golden ratio is a design philosophy in which you create a design based on the rules of beauty found in nature!
Always wondered why something seemt to look exactly right? It will usually have something to do with the golden ratio!
Maybe the most exciting about it, is the fact that it can be learned!
